The Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company, in implementing policies of decentralization, utilizing public participation, and revitalizing companies, delegated the responsibility of undertaking strategic projects, development plans, and utilizing credible global technologies with a combination of domestic and foreign investments to the aforementioned company. In this regard, and to utilize decentralized management and achieve necessary coordination in project implementation, the Petrochemical Industries Development Management Company was established on April 21, 1994.

Main Activities:

• Management, coordination, supervision, and control of Petrochemical Industries Company projects from inception to operation phase
• Policy-making regarding project implementation methods
• Standardization of execution methods and management software
• Conducting international tenders for new projects and concluding contracts for license purchases, basic engineering, detailed engineering, equipment procurement, technical services, and training
• Organizing tenders and implementing all infrastructure projects of petrochemical industries
• Implementing development and new projects for existing petrochemical complexes
• Preparing and updating technical standards for projects in engineering, procurement, installation, construction, and inspection
• Preparing and updating mechanized lists of foreign manufacturers considering equipment performance in operational units
• Organizing exhibitions showcasing capabilities of domestic consultants and companies in petrochemical industries
• Continuous assessment of domestic capabilities in engineering and manufacturing
• Preparing and updating mechanized lists of domestic manufacturers
