According to the company’s public relations office, Mohammad Shariatmadari PGPIC CEO highlighted the project’s long history of stagnation, noting that Sadaf Petrochemical Company had faced nearly 14 years of delay. He emphasized that through continuous effort and targeted management, the project has now reached the threshold of production.

Shariatmadari added that over the past year, the project’s essential requirements were secured, and the introduction of feedstock into the complex alongside the final test is a promising sign. Based on current progress, the plant is expected to enter full operation by the end of the year. He described the revival of the project as a clear example of turning dormant capacities into real opportunities for Iran’s petrochemical industry.

Shariatmadari underscored the importance of human capital in large-scale projects, stressing that the development of specialized talent is a top priority for the holding. He noted that today’s achievements at Sadaf would not have been possible without the commitment, expertise, and resilience of its workforce.

Hamidreza Khalili, CEO of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Complementary Industries Investment and Development Group (Petrol), described Sadaf as one of Petrol’s strategic projects. He explained that over the past year, efforts were made to align executive bodies, control scheduling, meet technical standards, and secure the project’s needs, ensuring safe and sustainable progress toward commissioning. The successful operational tests confirm the project’s readiness for subsequent stages.

Khalili praised the teamwork and solidarity that propelled the project forward, stating that collaboration among the project team was more decisive than financial resources.

Vahid Namnik, CEO of Sadaf Petrochemical Company, expressed gratitude for the support of Persian Gulf Holding and Petrol. He credited the successful operational test of the final section, units 1200 and 1500, and auxiliary services to the tireless work of employees, specialists, and project teams. He said the achievement paves the way for accelerated startup and stable production in the near future.
