Seven Innovators Awarded Top Honors at Petrofin 2025

TEHRAN, December 10, 2025 — The closing ceremony of Petrofin 2025 celebrated the industry’s leading innovators, recognizing seven outstanding contributors whose breakthroughs have delivered measurable impact across Iran’s petrochemical value chain.

 Seven Innovators Awarded Top Honors at Petrofin 2025

The event was attended by Mohammad Shariatmadari, CEO of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC), Hossein Afshin, Vice President for Science, Technology and Knowledge-Based Economy, and senior executives from across the sector.

Organized to acknowledge excellence in green innovation, digital transformation, advanced processes, product development, localization, and frontier technologies, the ceremony highlighted the pivotal role of innovation in ensuring long-term competitiveness and sustainability in the petrochemical industry.

The seven recipients of the Petrofin 2025 Top Innovator Award are:

  1. Mohammad-Hossein Ladani, Persian Gulf Fajr Energy— for developing a high-salinity wastewater (High TDS) treatment process improvement project.
  2. Seyed-Mohammad Mir Seraji, Nouri Petrochemical Company — for intelligent optimization of the BTX unit’s heat-integration network and operating conditions.
  3. Alireza Ghalambar, Arvand Petrochemical Company — for executing high-diameter waterline anneline repair using liquid nitrogen without production shutdown.
  4. Mehdi Haqi, Kharg Petrochemical Company — for a novel solution preventing CO₂ loss and converting it into productive capacity.
  5. Ahmad Ramazani, Persian Gulf Holding Development Management — for innovation in pre-stressed and post-tensioned modular polymeric geogrid plates.
  6. Hassan Samsami, Pars Petrochemical Company — for optimizing steam consumption through operational adjustments in the ethane-recovery unit’s steam turbine extraction system.
  7. Asieh Sedaghi, Karun Petrochemical Company — for implementing a circular-economy model converting sulfuric-acid waste into value-added chemical fertilizers.

The Petrofin 2025 awards reaffirm the industry’s commitment to fostering innovation-driven growth, strengthening domestic technological capabilities, and advancing Iran’s standing in the global petrochemical landscape.
