According to PGPIC’s public relations office, Hassan Abbaszadeh visited the group’s booth, describing PGPIC as the largest petrochemical holding in the country, with over 40% of national production capacity. He praised the leadership of CEO Mohammad Shariatmadari as a key opportunity for the expansion of large-scale projects and emphasized the holding’s unique product diversity across upstream and downstream chains.
During the exhibition, the CEO of a Tunisian company also visited PGPIC’s booth and expressed interest in expanding joint cooperation. Both sides discussed strengthening economic ties, expanding partnerships, and exploring ways to leverage products from PGPIC subsidiaries.
Fouzieh Morovat, Director of Strategy and Infrastructure for Product Development, Technology, and Innovation at PGPIC, underscored the group’s innovation-driven approach: “We act as a bridge between knowledge-based startups and the petrochemical industry, identifying and channeling creative solutions to meet industry needs.”
She identified priority areas including catalysts and specialty chemicals, static and rotary equipment, instrumentation, new product development and technical know-how, water and wastewater treatment, process optimization, and industry digitalization. Morovat added that needs and capabilities are matched with startups through the Vice Presidency for Science and Technology’s brokers, with further engagement taking place at Petrofan, PGPIC’s flagship reverse pitch event for technological needs.
