According to Mohammad Shariatmadari, CEO of the PGPIC, this initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to social responsibility and addresses the Ministry of Petroleum’s directive to invest in local communities.
“All of these students are gifted children identified from local families in Mahshahr and Asaluyeh,” Shariatmadari said. “They are currently studying in grades 8 to 12, and starting this school year, we will provide them with full academic support.”
The program, Shariatmadari added, also reflects the government’s broader agenda to strengthen the education system. “This step is in line with President Masoud Pezeshkian’s emphasis on empowering the national education system, equipping and modernizing schools, and using social responsibility resources for these purposes,” he noted.
The scholarships are designed not only to ensure financial support but also to nurture long-term human capital in regions where PGPIC operates. By focusing on education, the company aims to create opportunities for youth in underserved areas and contribute to sustainable local development.
