A high-level meeting was held between the management teams of Persian Gulf Mobin Energy Company and Apadana Petrochemical Company to review production progress, development opportunities, and future cooperation.
Hashem Najafi, CEO of Persian Gulf Mobin Energy Company, praised the successful launch of Apadana’s methanol unit under sanctions, calling it a testament to the capabilities of Iran’s specialists. He emphasized that both companies belong to the same family and pledged to make every effort to improve production conditions and support Apadana’s growth.
Apadana CEO acknowledged the early challenges of new producers in difficult conditions, noting that immediate profitability is not expected. Instead, his focus would be on fostering synergy, coordination, and joint efforts between the two companies to address obstacles and advance Apadana’s development.
Apadana Petrochemical CEO underscored the significance of operating the methanol unit with localized expertise and technologies such as reactor internals, describing it as a milestone in both Apadana’s and the national petrochemical industry’s history.
He added that Apadana is actively reviewing multiple downstream development projects designed to create added value from methanol and intends to pursue their implementation in coordination with Persian Gulf Mobin Energy Company.
Apadana Petrochemical Company, the only methanol producer within the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC), operates under Persian Gulf Mobin Energy Company in Phase 2 of the Pars Special Economic Energy Zone in Assaluyeh.
