Speaking at a ceremony introducing the new and outgoing CEOs, Pahlevani emphasized that “change is the essence of dynamic organizations” and expressed appreciation for the trust placed in him by Mohammad Shariatmadari, CEO of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC), Pars Petrochemical’s public relations office said in a statement.
Pahlevani underscored that since the privatization wave of the 2000s, holding companies have carried dual responsibilities of production and development. While some halted or slowed their expansion, PGPIC has successfully balanced both missions. Today, part of that developmental mandate rests with Pars Petrochemical, which is executing two national megaprojects.
Highlighting the pressures of sanctions, Pahlevani said that integrating the “sanction variable” into management methodologies is vital. “We will define our managerial frameworks in line with the realities of sanctions,” he stated, adding that project organizations must be managed with agility and precision to safeguard their “vital signs.” He also pledged to pursue issue-based and results-oriented management as guiding principles.
The incoming CEO praised his predecessor, Siavash Mirhaji, for his service and achievements. Mirhaji, in turn, thanked colleagues and PGPIC leadership for their support during his tenure, describing his time at Pars as a privilege. He welcomed Pahlevani’s appointment, calling him an experienced and capable leader, and pledged his full support to ensure the company’s continued success.
