According to the company’s public relations office, the original plan was to begin the turnaround on October 3, yet due to unforeseen operational conditions, the overhaul commenced earlier, starting on September 12. Despite the accelerated timeline, maintenance operations were implemented with precise planning and rapid mobilization of technical resources.
The overhaul covered several key process units, including the ethane recovery, styrene monomer, and ethylbenzene units. A notable achievement was the significant reduction in overhaul duration for the ethane unit, which was shortened from 26 days in previous years to just 14 days, reflecting a major improvement in time management and operational efficiency.
In addition, the loading line of the butane and propane export jetty was emptied and serviced in only 12 days, compared to the usual 20-day timeframe. This efficiency ensured that export operations for the PARS, Parsian Sepehr, and Bushehr complexes continued without disruption.
Throughout the turnaround, uninterrupted feed supply of styrene monomer to downstream industries was maintained, enabling continued production in the domestic value chain.
Company officials emphasized that the success of this year’s turnaround demonstrates the technical readiness, operational agility, and coordinated performance of all teams involved, positioning PARS Petrochemical Company for sustained stable production moving forward.
