According to the company’s public relations office, Ali Abdolalizadeh toured various operating sites of the complex, where he reviewed the latest status of development projects, production performance, and the company’s social responsibility initiatives.
During the visit, Arvand Petrochemical Company CEO Mohammadreza Karimi presented an overview of production levels, ongoing development plans, and future programs. He also highlighted several key challenges facing the petrochemical sector, including feedstock pricing, export duties, and the need for stability in national energy policies.
Karimi underscored that, as one of Iran’s largest PVC production chains, Arvand Petrochemical Company has the capacity to become a major pillar of sustainable development within the Mahshahr Special Economic Zone due to its maritime location and strategic position.
Abdolalizadeh praised the company’s achievements and stressed the need to strengthen maritime-based economic activity, environmental responsibility, and community support. He added: “Petrochemical companies must not only fulfill their economic role, but also contribute to human and social development. Arvand Petrochemical Company’s investment in school construction and support for regional education is an effective step toward educational justice and sustainable growth.”
Following the meeting, the delegation visited production sites and ongoing projects to observe progress firsthand.
The visit aimed to provide the presidential representative with a deeper understanding of the capabilities and challenges of petrochemical companies operating in the Mahshahr Special Economic Zone, and to explore pathways for expanding maritime-based industrial development.
