Hassan Abbaszadeh made the remarks during his visit to PGPIC’s booth on the final day of the 19th IranPlast Exhibition.

“PGPIC is the largest petrochemical group in the country, with a diverse product portfolio stretching from upstream to downstream, and in some cases, offering a complete value chain,” Abbaszadeh said. He emphasized the group’s unique role in polymer production, where its subsidiaries deliver unmatched diversity.

He also described the leadership of Mohammad Shariatmadari as a “golden opportunity” for both the company and the wider petrochemical sector, noting that under his management, PGPIC can accelerate the prioritization and execution of major projects, further strengthening its capacity.

“With over 40% of the industry’s production concentrated within this group, PGPIC has cultivated capable managers who have grown into their roles,” Abbaszadeh said. “Other petrochemical groups are now seeking to follow a similar path.”

The NPC chief concluded by expressing hope that in the near future, some subsidiaries of other holdings might join PGPIC, fostering strategic connections that could create significant opportunities for Iran’s petrochemical industry.
