According to the company’s public relations office, the tanks were built by Azarab Industries in Arak, marking a significant step toward supporting national production and reducing foreign dependence in strategic petrochemical projects.
The equipment delivery is part of a broader contract with Azarab for the fabrication of more than 70 fixed units, including process towers, pressure vessels, double-shell heat exchangers, and shell-and-tube heat exchangers. The localization of these components is expected to save the country more than USD 6 million in foreign currency.
Project managers anticipate that all equipment under the contract will be shipped to the project site by the second half of the current year for installation.
The HDPE project in Gachsaran, identified as a first-priority development for PGPIC, has gained significant momentum in recent months thanks to strategic planning and the resolution of previous bottlenecks.
