According to the company’s public relations office, the foreign-made shank filter had experienced repeated wear and failure over the years, causing frequent shutdowns and forcing extensive maintenance interventions. The new locally engineered unit, now in operation for over two months, has eliminated those production disruptions and stabilized the unit’s performance.
The successful deployment of the indigenous filter has enabled Karun Petrochemical Company to maintain continuous high-capacity production for the first time in several years, resulting in improved reliability, higher efficiency and reduced operating costs.
Company officials say this accomplishment marks another milestone in the company’s strategy to localize critical equipment, strengthen self-reliance under sanctions, and accelerate the adoption of domestic engineering solutions across key process units.
