According to the company’s public relations office, the officials visiting the site included the President’s representative for maritime development policies, the CEO of Arvand Free Zone, and the Governor of Khuzestan Province. The visit began with a briefing by the company’s CEO Mazyar Madooli, who presented an overview of the company’s performance, production capabilities, development plans, and environmental projects.
Madooli highlighted the company’s commitment to balanced growth, sustainable production, and the adoption of modern technologies. “Shahid Tondguyan Petrochemical Company has taken significant steps toward green production and environmental impact reduction,” he said, noting that efficiency improvements and product quality enhancements allow the company to play a more influential role in the national value chain.
Khuzestan Governor Mohammed-Ali Mowlaizadeh emphasized the resilience of the province’s petrochemical sector, recalling its continued production even during the Iran–Iraq war. “Today, just as in the toughest years, petrochemical companies can drive greater regional and national prosperity by completing the value chain and diversifying product lines,” he said. He added that with continuous feedstock supply and downstream expansion, Khuzestan has the potential to become a more advanced hub of Iran’s petrochemical industry.
In remarks during the visit, Ali Abdolalizadeh, the President’s representative, cited a presidential directive instructing the Oil Ministry and National Iranian South Oilfields Company to complete the associated gas collection project by the end of 2026. “This project will play a key role in securing stable feedstock for petrochemical producers,” he stressed. Abdolalizadeh also underlined the need for a smart balance between economic growth, environmental protection, and sustainable development. “Development must protect environmental foundations while creating lasting employment opportunities for the country’s youth,” he said.
He added that integrating Iran’s oil and gas capabilities with the technical expertise of the petrochemical sector will position the country toward advanced, technology-driven production, turning Iran into a regional leader in high-tech petrochemical products.
At the conclusion of the visit, company officials and guests toured the POY unit, where technical explanations on production processes and product specifications were provided.
