Shariatmadari issued a message to the Sadaf Petrochemical team, stating: “Honor to every one of you, the commanders of the production front. I know your worth, and I am proud of you. The installation of the first ground flare in Iran is an accomplishment that must be congratulated across the entire industrial community. Honor to you all.”
The installation of the country’s first ground flare represents not only a remarkable technical achievement but also a clear indicator of the petrochemical sector’s move toward pollution reduction and environmental stewardship.
Equipped with advanced technology, the ground flare significantly reduces carbon dioxide emissions from incomplete combustion, lowers soot formation, minimizes thermal radiation, and decreases noise pollution compared with conventional elevated flares.
With a combustion efficiency of 98 percent, the new system ensures near-complete burning of excess gases, resulting in minimal smoke and pollutants. The outcome is cleaner air, enhanced operational safety, and a meaningful contribution to environmental protection for future generations.
This achievement marks a major collective success and reflects the dedication and teamwork of the committed professionals at Sadaf Petrochemical Company of the Persian Gulf Holding.
