According to the company’s public relations office, the ammonia unit reached 100 percent of its nameplate capacity following focused efforts in process optimization, upgrades to critical equipment, enhanced operational stability, and more efficient management of support units. These coordinated initiatives collectively enabled the plant to achieve peak production performance for the first time.
In a message to the company’s workforce on the second anniversary of the unit's launch, CEO Seyyed Abdolmajid Khaksar congratulated employees and expressed appreciation for their dedication and teamwork, which he described as essential to achieving this significant breakthrough.
Khaksar emphasized that this accomplishment reflects the company’s technical maturity, operational discipline, and outstanding synergy across all departments. “With the experience we have gained and the motivation we hold today, I am confident that we will soon bring the urea unit into operation with exceptional strength and quality,” he stated.
According to the official project timeline, Hengam Petrochemical Company’s urea unit is also expected to come onstream by the end of December.
