Construction of Iran’s Tallest Olefin Unit Tower Completed at Almas Mahshahr Petrochemical Co.

MAHSHAR, September 19 (PGPIC) — Almas Mahshahr Petrochemical Company has completed construction of the country’s tallest olefin unit tower, standing 103 meters high, designed to separate propane from propylene.

The Almas Mahshahr Petrochemical Company has announced the successful completion of construction of Iran’s tallest olefin unit tower, a key structure in its ethylene production facilities. The tower, identified as T-5501, measures 103 meters in height and 7.6 meters in diameter. It has been built to perform the critical process of separating propane from propylene.

According to the company’s public relations office, the project was carried out with the collaboration of a Chinese partner and a domestic contractor, underscoring both international cooperation and the growing capabilities of local engineering firms.

The massive structure is being transported in three separate sections and is scheduled for installation at the Almas Mahshahr site by the end of the year. Once operational, it is expected to significantly enhance processing capacity and efficiency within the complex, reinforcing the company’s role in Iran’s petrochemical industry.
