According to the company, the rollout of this innovation management framework marks a strategic step toward embedding innovation as a core organizational capability and aligns with the broader transformation policies of Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company (PGPIC).
As part of the implementation, all processes and documentation related to R&D, technology development, creativity and knowledge management were reviewed, updated and integrated into the company’s existing Integrated Management System (IMS), creating a unified structure for governance and oversight of innovation activities.
The project also resulted in the development of key regulatory documents, including a comprehensive Innovation Management Manual, executive procedures for idea and technology management, and a formal intellectual property (IP) charter. These mechanisms are intended to support data-driven decision-making, digital monitoring of innovation performance, and the registration and protection of in-house inventions.
With this achievement, Persian Gulf Bidboland Gas Refinery is now regarded as one of the frontrunners in institutionalizing innovation management in the national energy sector, providing a replicable model for other industrial companies seeking to strengthen their technological capability and competitiveness.
