According to the company’s public relations office, Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company was honored as a national model for social and environmental responsibility among leading industrial participants evaluated for their community and ecological impact.
Key environmental accomplishments include the development of a comprehensive ESG-based environmental master plan, construction of a central industrial wastewater treatment plant, conversion of the chlor-alkali process from mercury to membrane technology, planting of eight million mangrove trees, establishment of an industrial landfill, and implementation of gas recovery and emission reduction projects.
The company emphasized that industrial excellence and social responsibility are inseparable principles of its mission and reaffirmed its determination to advance the vision of a green and sustainable petrochemical industry in Iran.
