According to Arvand Petrochemical’s public relations office, the agreement was signed during a ceremony attended by Mohammadreza Karimi, CEO of Arvand Petrochemical Company, and Shahram Lak, President of the Islamic Azad University of Khuzestan. The partnership aims to enhance scientific and research interactions and leverage the university’s educational and research capacities to help meet the industrial and technological demands of petrochemical companies.
Under the agreement, both sides emphasized expanding cooperation in applied research, specialized training programs, the execution of technology-oriented projects, and the utilization of academic expertise.
Karimi highlighted the importance of localizing technology in the petrochemical industry, stating: “Arvand Petrochemical Company is moving toward technological transformation, and collaboration with universities can help us overcome challenges and improve efficiency.”
Lak also expressed satisfaction with the launch of this partnership, noting: “The Islamic Azad University of Khuzestan is prepared, through its faculty and research centers, to provide extensive educational, research, and technological services to regional industries, particularly Arvand Petrochemical Company.”
The agreement is designed to translate research findings into practical technologies and to enable the commercialization of scientific achievements, serving as a foundation for joint contracts in research and innovation projects.
