According to the company’s public relations office, the filter cleaning device and its key internal components — including the valve cover, diaphragm, piston housing, and plug — have been fully engineered and manufactured domestically in cooperation with Fater Sanat Maham Engineering and Trading Company.
The system plays a critical role in cleaning process filters and preventing pressure build-up in PVC production units. By localizing this equipment, the company has significantly improved production stability, reduced foreign currency outflow, and enhanced plant safety.
Manufactured from high-resistance materials such as stainless steel, alloyed aluminum, TPU, and NBR rubber, the new device delivers superior durability, sealing reliability, and chemical resistance compared with imported counterparts. The production process included precision machining, strict dimensional control, and pressure and leakage testing, all conducted in compliance with ISO 9001, API 6D, ASME Section VIII and PED 2014/68/EU.
The localized system has now been installed in multiple SPVC and EPVC production locations (45FT46501A/B, 45FT47560A/B/C/D/E/F, 45FT48550A/B/C/D/E/F and 43FT48050A/B/C/D/E/F), resulting in measurable performance improvements in conveying compressors, centrifuges, and filter assemblies across units 465, 475 and 485. Its deployment has also mitigated the risk of sudden production shutdowns and ensured process continuity.
Previously, repair and overhaul of this device required foreign procurement. However, after a four-month engineering and prototyping phase, Arvand Petrochemical Company has now internalized the entire life cycle of the equipment — from design to installation. The new configuration also simplifies maintenance, reduces downtime, and improves system efficiency.
Company experts say the localization effort not only cuts import dependency and lowers foreign-exchange costs but also strengthens safety and environmental metrics. The project stands as a model of effective cooperation between industry and domestic knowledge-based firms in advancing national industrial resilience and petrochemical technology localization.
