According to the Public Relations Office of Gachsaran Polymer Industries Company, the newly installed hexane distillation tower, which was designed and fabricated locally by Azarab Company in Arak, measures 30 meters in length, 2.2 meters in diameter, and weighs 32 tons. This achievement demonstrates a significant step toward industrial self-sufficiency and foreign currency savings by relying on domestic capabilities and advanced engineering expertise.
The Gachsaran Heavy Polyethylene Project, classified as a top-priority initiative within the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Group (PGPIC), has now reached 47% overall physical progress. Additionally, engineering work on the project has progressed to 86.5% completion, underscoring the project’s rapid advancement.
The installation of the tallest process tower is expected to accelerate downstream phases of the project and reflects the effective collaboration between engineering teams and local manufacturing partners. This development also aligns with the broader strategy of enhancing local content in Iran’s petrochemical mega-projects.
