“Communications Day, in the memory of our generation, heralds the dawn of an era where humanity stands atop the high peaks of awareness and knowledge,” PGPIC chief said.

He noted that the communications era—powered by the strong wings of modern technologies—has transformed global structures and the nature of interactions among individuals and nations.

“This new world,” he said, “is one where the credibility of societies and the influence of individuals are measured by the depth of their knowledge and awareness.”

Dr. Shariatmadari acknowledged that, despite the challenges and concerns it has posed to governments and societies alike, the communications movement has opened countless doors of opportunity and empowerment. “Perhaps the greatest of these, is the collapse of monopolies over knowledge and information. The once costly and difficult path to acquiring knowledge and technique has now become remarkably accessible,” Shariatmadari said.

PGPIC head also stressed the importance of recognizing that in today’s fast-paced world, data and information are core elements of power. “The only viable path to sustainable development lies in our ability to collect, analyze, process, and strategically apply this information with intelligence and creativity.”

Referring to the future of the organization, Dr. Shariatmadari underlined the necessity of a profound understanding of the new world's opportunities, as well as the creation of specialized capabilities to fully leverage the benefits of modern communication and digital technologies.

“With a hopeful and admiring gaze, we acknowledge the dedication of men and women who raise the banner of awareness and enlightenment in the field of communications and public relations,” he added. However, he also emphasized the need for a comprehensive transformation within the PR domain to match the stature of the Persian Gulf Petrochemical Industries Company.

“In this journey, injecting creativity and dynamism is not a matter of choice but a pressing necessity—one that cannot be realized without cutting-edge knowledge, continuous learning, and the practical application of modern PR methodologies,” he noted.

He highlighted that mastering and utilizing modern communication technologies—especially artificial intelligence—is now an indispensable requirement.

“Our public relations strategy must go beyond daily interactions with thousands of petrochemical workers. It must also aim to preserve and energize the social capital represented by our 40 million shareholders and the vast potential of the Esteghlal Sports Club. With this solid foundation, the PGPIC Public Relations office must redefine the geography and scope of its communicative influence—an influence that transforms the voice of industry into an echo of trust and hope, and serves the nation’s interests and organizational loyalty through the most advanced tools of message delivery,” he concluded.
