Mahmoud Aminnejad, Vice President for Business Planning and Development at PGPIC, visited the company’s development projects along with a delegation of senior managers, the company’s Public Relations Office said.
During the visit, Aminnejad highlighted the high number of projects underway at Bandar Imam and reaffirmed the support of PGPIC CEO Mohammad Shariatmadari and the Board of Directors for the group’s recent resolution on the company’s expansion plans. “Bandar Imam is the mother of Iran’s petrochemical industry, and with this new resolution — which follows an economically sound and logical approach — the vision of a ‘New Bandar Imam’ has become a reality,” he stated.
Referring to the company’s more than half a century of history, Aminnejad warned that without adopting these new strategies, Bandar Imam could have become an outdated and worn-out facility. “What we are seeing today is the result of thoughtful planning, cooperation, and comprehensive engagement among all stakeholders. Even in these challenging conditions, we have achieved very positive results,” he added.
The vice president also pointed out that PGPIC is currently executing over $12 billion worth of projects nationwide, a figure set to grow with the inclusion of Bandar Imam Petrochemical Company’s new developments.
Aminnejad emphasized the importance of a recent organizational change — the separation of the Production Oversight Division from the Business Planning and Development Division. He said this move would allow for greater focus on production and, with the appointment of Engineer Sanaei, a prominent figure in Iran’s petrochemical sector, as Vice President for Production, “PGPIC now operates with two focused wings — development and production — that together will drive a steady rise in efficiency for this major specialized company.”
