Message from Mohammad Shariatmadari, PGPIC CEO, on International Workers’ Day

TEHRAN, May 1 (PGPIC) – International Workers’ Day is an occasion to honor one of the most sacred values in the economic life of nations—work and perseverance. It is a day to reflect deeply on the noble concepts of professional integrity, sacrifice, dedication, productivity, and prosperity.

Message from Mohammad Shariatmadari, PGPIC CEO, on International Workers’ Day

In our national and religious ethos, the dignity and status of workers are beyond description. We follow a tradition in which the Prophet of Islam, the pride of humanity, kissed the calloused hands of a laborer as a symbol of honor. The pages of Iranian history are filled with the enduring and proud contributions of the working class—heroes who stood at the forefront during the Islamic Revolution and the Sacred Defense. The long list of worker martyrs and veterans is a testament to their valor.

In the years since, it has been through the determination and faith of this hardworking community that Iran has overcome the challenges of economic sanctions. Today, thought leaders across the world recognize that sustainable growth and national development depend on a deep appreciation for the role of men and women in the production sectors, and on investing in core values such as job satisfaction, skills enhancement, and work ethics.

It is the dedicated hands of our workforce that keep the powerful wheels of the petrochemical industry in motion. These are individuals who embrace hardship and devote their lives to the advancement of our beloved Iran.

With utmost humility and respect, I acknowledge the sincere efforts and tireless endeavors of all our colleagues in the production sectors. I offer my heartfelt gratitude and figuratively kiss the strong hands and arms of our noble workers.
