The high-performance 7000F grade, developed under technical specifications originally attributed to Japan’s Mitsui, is widely regarded as one of the most advanced grades used in thin-film applications under 10 microns. According to the company’s public relations office, the product offers high stiffness and premium quality, making it suitable for a range of industries including food packaging, agricultural films, waste management, and lightweight plastics. The move to produce 7000F was initiated by the company’s sales and marketing division and was executed through a coordinated effort involving multiple departments, including operations, maintenance, process engineering, instrumentation, inspection, laboratory, and commercial units. The project followed rigorous safety inspections and culminated in a pilot test run using hexane as a solvent.Production took place between May 26 and June 12, following laboratory evaluations that confirmed the product met high international quality standards. The company reported that approximately 5,000 tonnes have been produced and are currently being offered on the Iran Mercantile Exchange (IME).Three domestic manufacturers—Pakan Plast Kar, Shams Golban Sarina, and Naylon Sepid—have already conducted pilot runs using the product, reporting performance levels surpassing comparable grades available on the market.BIPC is now exploring opportunities for exporting the 7000F grade to regional markets including Iraq and Turkey, with broader international sales under review. The development represents what the company described as “a new milestone” in its record of achievements, as it seeks to diversify its product portfolio and elevate Iran’s profile in the global petrochemical industry.
