Arvand Petrochemical Co. Localizes and Overhauls Pusher Centrifuge P100 for the First Time

Tehran, July 28 (PGPIC) — In a major step toward self-sufficiency, Arvand Petrochemical Company has successfully localized and fully overhauled the advanced Pusher Centrifuge P100, significantly enhancing salt washing quality, production efficiency, and reducing foreign exchange costs.

According to Arvand Petrochemical’s Public Relations Office, the comprehensive overhaul of the Ferrum Switzerland-manufactured Pusher Centrifuge P100—used in the salt washing unit—was executed entirely by domestic experts and the company’s in-house specialists.

This centrifuge plays a critical role in separating water from salt, with stable performance directly influencing the final product’s quality. In this overhaul, the device’s basket section was reconstructed using corrosion-resistant materials, resulting in enhanced accuracy and durability.

For the first time, the entire repair and localization process—previously carried out solely by foreign entities—was successfully performed within Iran. This initiative not only led to significant foreign currency savings, but also improved the elimination of residual impurities in the salt slurry (Lash Cake), upgraded final product quality, and enhanced storage capability of the dry salt output.

It is worth noting that previous maintenance rounds were limited to servicing the centrifuge’s hydraulic components. In contrast, the current operation involved a full-scale overhaul, marking a milestone in Iran’s petrochemical industry’s ongoing efforts toward localization and technological independence.
