The National Conference on Productivity in the Petrochemical Industry, organized by the PGPIC in collaboration with the National Iranian Productivity Organization, was held recently. Keyvan Ilka, a member of the Board of Executive Directors of PGPIC, underscored the vital role of the petrochemical sector in Iran’s development path.
“The petrochemical industry in Iran is not merely an industrial sector—it is the backbone of the country's non-oil economy. It serves as a national strategic tool for sustainable growth, economic stability, reduced dependence on crude oil, and strengthened development infrastructure,” he said.
Ilka emphasized that the strategic positioning of the petrochemical industry makes it a cornerstone of the national economy. Enhancing this sector, he said, is synonymous with reinforcing Iran's economic resilience and progress toward sustainable development.
“We view ourselves not only as an economic enterprise but also as a development-oriented institution, committed to advancing productivity, upholding environmental responsibility, and creating sustainable value for the country,” he added.
The five key topics covered in the conference include productivity in the petrochemical industry, organizational capability development, specific performance management requirements of PGPIC, capability development of subsidiary companies, and best practices in productivity across PGPIC, leveraging the implementation of the PCSR model.
