Karoun Petrochemical Company has reported a 17.4% increase in production in 2024, overcoming feedstock supply issues through the efforts of its technical and operations teams. CEO Alireza Sedighizadeh credited this growth to the commitment and resilience of the company’s workforce.

In a recent management council meeting, Sedighizadeh reviewed the company’s performance, describing it as a successful recovery from prior stagnation, with Karoun now positioned for sustained, stable growth and improved market competitiveness.

Looking to 2025, Sedighizadeh emphasized the importance of liquidity control, cost management, and prioritization of ongoing projects. At the top of the list is the commissioning of the HAICO project, which he identified as critical to resolving feedstock bottlenecks.

“I extend my sincere appreciation to the project teams and all departments involved in advancing this key initiative,” he said. “We are hopeful that the HAICO unit will become fully operational in the coming months, allowing Karoun to achieve 100% of its nominal production capacity.”

The successful completion of HAICO is expected to not only enhance Karoun’s operational reliability but also contribute significantly to the company’s overall growth and profitability.
