Karoun Petrochemical CEO Announces 17% Production Growth
HAICO Project Set to Bring Karoun to Full Nominal Capacity

Alireza Sedighizadeh, CEO of Karoun Petrochemical Company, highlighted the challenges and achievements of the past year, stating that despite several issues related to timely feedstock supply, the company managed to increase its production by 17.4% in 2024 compared to the previous year—an accomplishment he credited to the unwavering efforts of the company's dedicated team.

According to the Public Relations Office of Karoun Petrochemical Company, Sedighizadeh made these remarks during a recent management council meeting. He assessed the company's performance in recent years as positive and emphasized that Karoun has emerged from stagnation and challenging conditions to achieve stable and sustained growth, securing a strong position in the market.

Looking ahead to 2025, he stressed the importance of liquidity control and cost management, noting that all ongoing projects must be prioritized and finalized with efficiency.

Sedighizadeh identified the final commissioning of the HAICO project as the company’s top priority for the year. “I extend my sincere appreciation to the project teams and all departments involved in bringing this vital unit to the commissioning stage,” he said. “We are hopeful that in the coming months, the HAICO unit will become fully operational—resolving feedstock supply challenges and enabling Karoun to reach 100% of its nominal production capacity.”
